Cellulite is every woman’s worst nightmare, and once it gets ahold of you, it seems it may never let go. But if you follow these three simple steps, you will not only keep the orange-peel from settling in, but your “compromised” areas will be less visible as well.
In order to have beautiful and hydrated skin you should drink plenty of water. Dehydration of the skin tissues is like a welcome-mat for cellulite. You should drink at least eight glasses of water every day and include water-rich foods in your diet, such as fruit and vegetables. Pay extra attention to your water intake especially during summer, because all the sweating makes you lose more water than usual.
Eat colored vegetables!
Eat five servings of fruit and vegetables everyday, favouring green, red and yellow ones, which contain plenty of antioxidants and vitamin C. These are essential for collagen synthesis, which keeps the skin young-looking and firm, making cellulite less visible and less likely to rear its ugly head.
Eat whole foods !
Refined foods tend to raise blood sugar levels faster, which makes the body secrete insulin, break apart glucose and, eventually, store cellulite-friendly fats. These fats form pockets which get engorged and deform the collagen layer, creating those little unpleasant bumps on the surface of the skin.
You should enrich your diet with whole foods, such as whole bread, cereal, pasta, brown rice and sugar, and give up junk and processed foods. Avoid refined carbohydrates and make sure you have an adequate intake of fibers so that you can efficiently control the amount of glucose in your blood.
Keep your diet in check and do plenty of physical activity, and cellulite will no longer be a problem for you.
