Yoghurt is not only good for you, it’s also good for your skin. If the commercial stuff isn’t doing it for you anymore, grab that bottle of yoghurt and try your hand at these 4 DIY beauty recipes. Enjoy!
For the hands
Mix a cup of yogurt with a spoon of honey and use the mixture to massage your hands. Honey is a natural moisturizer which will help keep your skin smooth and soft.
For the face
In order to diminish the aspect of your pores apply plain yogurt on the surface of the skin, leave it on for ten minutes then rinse with warm water. The lactic acid in yoghurt is a gentle peeling agent, which helps exfoliate the dead skin cells and leave behind radiant younger-looking skin.
For the scalp
Yogurt can also be used as hair conditioner. Just apply it on damp hair and leave it on for about 15 minutes before you rinse. Yogurt has soothing properties for the scalp, it calms irritation and it’s great at preventing dandruff.
For the body
Mix half a cup of finely ground walnuts with a cup of yoghurt and use it as a body exfoliant. You can also add a bit of coconut oil to the mix for a deeper moisturizing effect.
