Beautiful and radiant – 3 Hollywood secrets for a flawless complexion

Beautiful and radiant

Your face is basically your ID card, both for yourself and those around you, so it should be well taken care of. Here are a few beauty secrets shared by Hollywood experts to help you achieve that glowing skin you’re dreaming of.

Maximize the effects of beauty treatments

Before applying any mask or treatment, get yourself a nice steambath. While you don’t have the luxury of a home steam room like Hollywood stars do, you can easily achieve the same effect by boiling some water in a pot and leaning over it, covering your head with a towel to capture the steam.

The steam will open up your pores and help you sweat out debris, dirt and excess sebum which might interfere with the efficiency of your mask. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to the water for an intense purifying effect, or a bag of chamomile tea for a calming effect.

Sit over the steaming pot for about 10 minutes, dab your face dry with a soft towel and proceed to apply your mask or treatment, which will now be more effective and easily absorbed by your skin.

Revitalize your eyes

When you’re not feeling your best, your eyes are the most obvious giveaway. Having bags or swelling around your eyes can make you look tired, or even older than you actually are.

Experts suggest applying two cotton pads soaked in fresh cucumber juice on your eyes and leaving them on for at least 5 minutes. This will help reduce the swelling and make you feel and look refreshed.

Highlight your lips

Lips are often overlooked in beauty treatments, but they need just as much attention as any other part of your face. For luscious, kissable lips, massage them with a mix of rice flour and olive oil, for a gentle exfoliating effect.

After a couple of minutes, rinse and dab your lips dry, then apply a generous layer of honey and cosmetic vaseline, for an intense moisturizing effect. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes, and then gently remove with a cotton pad.
